Qatar Airways streamlines its fares; offers attractive savings at QDF

By Luke Barras-hill |

Qatar Airways has simplified its fare options with customers booking directly being given the chance to gain exclusive discounts at Qatar Duty Free.

The *six ‘fare families’ branch all travel classes and are designed to extend greater choice and flexibility to passengers.

Aside offering extra baggage allowances, preferred seat selections and itinerary changes dependent on the fare group, Qatar Airways has reserved extra ancillary products and services for each fare family, such as discounts of up to 40% at Qatar Duty Free’s retail and food & beverage outlets at Hamad International Airport.

Qatar Duty Free, a winner in the consumer-voted 2020 Travel Retail Awards, will reward certain Qatar Airways’ customers with discounts of up to 40% at food and beverage outlets at Hamad International Airport.

“Our new fare families are designed to offer greater simplicity, choice, and flexibility to our passengers and further our ambition to offer a best-in-class retail experience,” said Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker.

“With these new categorisations, it is very clear to the customer what they are buying – there are no hidden fees or additional charges. We are also giving our valued Privilege Club members the opportunity to earn more Qmiles with us to unlock additional benefits or tier upgrades.”

Hamad International Airport won ‘Best Airport Voted by Millennials’ and ‘Best Airport Retail Environment’ in partnership with Qatar Duty Free at the recent consumer-voted 2020 Travel Retail Awards.
