Founded in 1998, RegStaer is one of the main duty free operators at Sheremetyevo International Airport.

RegStaer Group of Companies celebrated its 20th anniversary of ‘successful operating activities’ in DF&TR with a lavish celebration in Moscow on 14 December.

Founded in 1998, RegStaer is one of the main duty free operators at Sheremetyevo International Airport, where it opened its first duty free shop in Terminal F. It is also the principal travel retailer at Vnukovo Airport.

In 2012, which the company describes as a special year in its history, RegStaer and Dufry Group partnered with the Swiss retailer acquiring a 51% stake in the company.

VNUKOVO OPERATIONS

During the same period, RegStaer asserted itself as the leading duty free operator in the new terminal at Vnukovo International Airport. Its first shops offering perfumes and cosmetics, watches and jewellery and food opened in the Terminal A international departures area.

Co-owner of sister company Aero Region since 2016, the latter won a tender the following year to conclude lease agreements for the ‘placement and operation’ of duty-free shops in departures and arrivals at the new Platov International Airport in Rostov-on-Don.

The company said: “RegStaer is proud of the diversity and design of its stores. In addition to the shops, the company is launching new exciting store concepts, including unique children’s shops, a monobrand Natura Siberica boutique and dedicated Victoria’s Secret outlets.”

Last year, RegStaer also opened Haute Parfumerie, Michael Kors and Hudson outlets, along with a Masters of Time by RegStaer watch boutique and e-Moscow by RegStaer electronics store.

CAREFUL BRAND SELECTION

“We carefully select the best brands that have earned the confidence of millions of buyers around the world. Original production, immaculate quality and high level of service are our paramount principles,” RegStaer added.

A range of goods including leading male and female clothing brands, watches, writing materials, glasses, bags, luggage, toys, shoes and accessories, luxury perfumes and cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco and confectionery from leading manufacturers, will satisfy the most sophisticated traveller, according to the company.

“Most of these goods are unique and rare products that can give their owners an extra touch of elegance and emphasise their high status. Some of our brands are exclusively available in the Russian market.”

At present, the company has more than 800 employees, many of whom have been there since its inception. “RegStaer Group of Companies takes special pride in the individuals working with us. We have a remarkable and close-knit team.”
