SSP bolsters F&B business in Egypt with new airport contract extensions
By Trbusiness Editor |
SSP has retained its business at Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, Aswan International Airport and Abu Simbel Airport, reinforcing its long-standing partnership with Egypt’s busiest airports.
SSP will now operate 15 food and beverage locations across Terminals 1 and 2 in Sharm El Sheikh, alongside two units in Aswan, and one unit in Abu Simbel.
Together the three airports welcome over 10 million passengers annually, with Sharm El Sheikh International Airport alone serving approximately 9 million passengers, making it one of Egypt’s most important travel hubs.
SSP’s Egyptian F&B portfolio includes international names such as KFC, Burger King and Costa, in addition to popular local favourites and the company’s own globally recognised brands Ritazza and Panopolis.
The contract extensions underscore SSP’s investment in Egypt as a core market within the EEME (Eastern Europe & Middle East) division, one of the fastest-growing regions in the company’s global network.
SSP EEME CEO George Antoniou commented: “This new deal is closely aligned with SSP’s global strategy to develop our business in higher growth markets.
“It marks the continuation of a strategic relationship that began in 2000, and is testament to the enduring trust, operational excellence, and wide brand portfolio that SSP brings to airport environments across the region and around the world.
“Egypt remains a strategically important market for SSP, and we’re proud to continue serving millions of passengers each year at these iconic airports. We look forward to continuing our successful long-term collaboration across all Egyptian airports for many years to come.”
