Dubai Duty Free (DDF) is the first retail operator in the Middle East and the second in the world to launch the exclusive Tom Ford Private Blend Collection, following the successful debut of the Tom

Ford Black Orchid line in Dubai Duty Free in February 2008.

The Tom Ford Private Blend Collection consists of 13 signature unisex fragrances that are all being made available by DDF in Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3.

In a statement, the company said: ‘Each fragrance begins with a precious extraction of a single note around which secondary notes are wrapped, creating a completely developed and complex scent designed to enchant or challenge, stimulate or delight. Tom Ford Private Blend allows the wearer, whether male or female, to discover the fragrances that suit their personality and moods and become the curator of their own personalised fragrance collection.’

Commenting on the creation, Tom Ford said: ‘Private Blend is my own scent laboratory; it is where I have the ability to create very special, original fragrances that are unconstrained by the conventions of mainstream scent-making. Private Blend is designed with the true fragrance connoisseur in mind.’

The Collection at Dubai Duty Free includes The Private Blend White Musk Collection, the newest addition and all four scents are infused with the musk note that has been combined with new and distinctive ingredients for an unexpected twist.

Some of the Tom Ford Private Blend fragrances that will be available includeTuscan Leather, Neroli Portofino, Noir de Noir, Chamoaca Absolute, Oud Wood; Tobacco Vanille, Arabian Wood and Italian Cypress in 50ml and 250ml decanters. The packaging for Collection is inspired by the dark brown glass colouring of the apothecary bottles used in parfumeur's work rooms.

The company says that the 50ml flacon is designed to be weighty in the hand and has 'the sleek architectural look of a chess piece', while the 250ml decanter is carved 'with the highest level of craftsmanship and is designed to enhance the user's home environment'. Both the flacons and decanters have been enhanced with the addition of touches of gold on the signature labels.

Commenting on the success of Tom Ford Beauty at Dubai Duty Free since its introduction, Colm McLoughlin, Managing Director said: ‘We have seen an increasing demand from our customers for Tom Ford fragrances and in the past year alone sales across the Tom Ford fragrances have shown consistent double-digit growth.

‘We are delighted to have the first Middle East duty free introduction of the Tom Ford Private Blend Collection and I am sure that our customers will appreciate its exclusivity.’
