Former PM Göran Persson to address seminar

This years’ Nordic Travel Retail Seminar on May 26 at Stockholm’s Nova Park Conference centre will be addressed by the former Swedish Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Göran Persson as the keynote speaker.

The Nordic Travel Retail Group says that ongoing and future travel retail challenges will follow and participants will then be led into the social media world by prominent speakers representing SAS and finest.se.

Commenting on the event, John Baumgartner, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Nordic Travel Retail Group said: “We are honoured to present Mr. Göran Persson as our keynote speaker. I am sure he will inspire us and motivate us to be prepared for future possibilities and challenges, of which both are underlying the whole of our programme.” 

OTHER KEY SPEAKERS
Besides Persson, the list of confirmed speakers includes John Hume, Alexander Erwik and Christian Kamhaug. Co-founder and partner in Hume Brophy, John Hume, will give a presentation entitled: Coping with Continuous Challenges – updates on threats and issues which can affect the duty free and travel retail business. 

Alexander Erwik, Editor in Chief at finest.se will give the presentation “The commercial potential of blogs” and talk about what social media and blogs can do for brands and business. 

In addition, the Head of Social media with SAS Christian Kamhaug will talk about ‘Social Media Support of Sales and Service’ and take the participants into the world of how to make social media platforms relevant to customers. The moderator of NTRS 2011 will be Dermot Davitt from The Moodie Report.
