ARI North America has expanded its Canada presence with a store opening at Edmonton International.

Travel retailer ARI North America has opened a new duty free store at Edmonton International Airport, bolstering its presence across Canada.

ARI has partnered with Marshall Retail Group to operate the duty free concession at the airport. Marshall Retail Group is also operating other Edmonton concessions outside of duty free.

The store spans two locations, a 170 sqm space, plus a 1990 sqm transborder store. Categories span liquor, tobacco, perfume, cosmetics, confectionery, sunglasses, jewellery, handbags and souvenirs.

Edmonton joins the growing list of ARI locations across Canada. It currently operates duty free stores at Montreal, Winnipeg, Quebec and Halifax, plus a duty free store at Vancouver.

“We are very excited to expand our footprint in this region working with a fantastic partner to bring our ARI heritage of trusted and exceptional experiences to our customers at Edmonton International Airport,” said Glen Morgan, ARI North America General Manager.

“This expansion of our North American business into a new city, in the year that we celebrate our 25th anniversary of ARI’s business in this region, is a great testament to the loyalty and dedication of our team here and I would like to thank all of my colleagues for their hard work and commitment.”

Carmen Donnelly, Vice President Passenger Experience & Terminal Operations at Edmonton International Airport, added:  “At YEG, we are committed to elevating the travellers’ journey, and we are thrilled to welcome ARI — a company celebrated for its unwavering commitment to excellence and customer service.

“Welcoming ARI to our airport and enhancing our shopping options helps to ensure we are able to provide an unparalleled experience tailored to our passengers.”

Earlier this month, ARI has unveiled a multi-category store at Abu Dhabi ‘s new Terminal A, said to offer an “exceptional shopping experience”.
