Airport Revenue News (ARN) has announced the winners of its 2007 Best Concessions Awards for the 12th year in a row, reflecting what it claims are ‘the industry?s choices’ for the best concessions programmes and

the best concessionaires of the year in US airports.

ARN said that ‘as always’, this year?s judges were chosen for their broad-based expertise and knowledge about concessions: ‘The judges are separated into two groups: Concessionaire judges vote for nominees in airport programme categories; airport judges vote for stores and restaurant nominees in concessionaire categories. The nominees were selected by readers in an earlier process because of their noticeably high standards of excellence in a variety of categories.’

In a massive roll call, the winners were as follows: (Airports – Large Airport Division) Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with the Best Concessions Programme Design; Orlando International Airport with the Best Customer Service; Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport with the Best Concessions Management Team; LaGuardia Airport with the Best Concessions Management Team; Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport with the Most Unique Services; Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport with the Best Overall Concessions Programme.
(Medium Airport Division) Pittsburgh International Airport with the Best Concessions Programme Design; Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport with the Best Customer Service; Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport with the Best Concessions Management Team; Pittsburgh International Airport with the Most Unique Services; Baltimore-Washington International Airport with the Best Overall Concessions Programme.
