Avolta’s Enrique Urioste elected President of ASUTIL for 2024-2026 term

Avolta’s Enrique Urioste has been elected President of ASUTIL for the term 2024-2026.

New members of the Board of Directors of ASUTIL for the period 2024-2026 have been elected, with Enrique Urioste, President and CEO LATAM & Caribe (Caribbean), Avolta, taking on the role of President.

Leadership updates were confirmed during the General Assembly of ASUTIL (Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres), which took place on 2 November.

A statement circulated to TRBusiness, and the wider media, by General Secretary Carlos Loaiza Keel revealed that the position of Vice President is to be held by Gustavo Fagundes, CEO, Dufry Brasil, while Marcelo Montico, CEO, Neutral by Luryx, will be responsible for the Treasury.

Incoming Directors of South America’s duty free association are: Martín Laffitte, Director, Bernabel Trading S.A.; Gandhi Abdullah, Director, Siñeriz; Fabrizio Belo, Country General Manager, Dufry Uruguay; and Danny Yohoros, CEO & President, Top Brands International.

Next year’s ASUTIL Conference will land in Bogotá, Colombia, for the first time from 19-20 June.

The event will once again be managed by Tax Free World Association (TFWA).
