Bottega and Air Canada

Air Canada has listed the Alexander Maple Leaf Grappa line as part of its tribute to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, in a gift bottle designed especially by Sandro Bottega and created in mouth-blown glass
by Venetian craftsmen.
The 200ml bottle features the symbol of Canada, a maple leaf, and contains Alexander Grappa in bottle which the company describes as 'a collector's original' designed exclusively for Air Canada by Bottega.
Sandro Bottega, President of Distilleria Bottega, began creating the first artistic blown glass bottles for the Alexander brand back in the eighties and the company's Alexander grappa bottles have also been showcased in a travelling exhibition entitled 'Art in grappa' in New York, Montreal, Cologne, Barcelona, Madrid and Toronto.
Meanwhile, the company also reports that sales of its Distilleria Bottega Prosecco 'soared to an all-time high' at Aeroporti di Roma's Rome Airport duty free shops in the last two months of last year.
The line in question was Il Vino dei Poeti Bottega Gold in Christmas packaging, including a see-through gold wine gift bag complete with a drawstring decorated with a golden heart-shaped pin.
This new product will be showcased at the Distilleria Bottega's stand number 309 at next month's IAADFS show in Orlando.
