Casa Don Ramonto takes Tito’s Handmade Vodka south to Mexico
By Caroline Sargent |
Tito’s Handmade Vodka, America’s original craft vodka, is now available in Mexico with Casa Don Ramon distributing the brand to both the on- and off-trade.
A Texas based company, Tito’s is one of the fastest growing micro distilleries in the United States producing its six-time pot distilled spirit from 100% corn, giving it a sweeter, rounder flavour than traditional vodkas made from wheat or potatoes.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka received early recognition when it earned the Unanimous Double Gold Medal at the World Spirits Competition in 2001 over 71 other vodkas, including established and more expensive brands. According to the brand it was also awarded 95 points by Wine Enthusiast – higher than Ketel One, Absolut, Belvedere and Grey Goose – and was recognized with the UCC Chairman’s Trophy for World’s Best Vodka Tonic at the 2010 Ultimate Cocktail Challenge.
Said Bert ‘Tito’ Beveridge, Founder and Master Distiller, “We are extremely excited to begin selling Tito’s Handmade Vodka in Mexico. It’s a dynamic market, and we’re proud to partner with Casa Don Ramon to expand our distribution there.”
Mr. Ricardo Román, Sales Director of Casa Don Ramón, commented, “Casa Don Ramón, home of one of the most prestigious tequilas in Mexico, Tequila Don Ramón, and other tequila brands, is very pleased and thrilled to be the exclusive distributor of such a fine vodka and great brand, Tito’s Handmade Vodka. We are very excited with the launch of this fine product and we are pretty sure it will soon become Mexico’s most demanded vodka.”
The brand has seen strong sales growth in the US and today is sold in all 50 states, several provinces in Canada, New Zealand and many of the Caribbean Islands, as well as through United Airlines and American Airlines. Tito’s is also available along the Mexican border (on the US side), and Canadian border (on both sides) and with travel retailers including Dufry, DFA, International Shoppes and DFASS.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka has an ABV of 40% and will be available in Mexico as a 750ml bottle.
