Cave Shepherd profits up

Caribbean domestic and duty free retailer Cave Shepherd has reported a 6% increase in net income for the half year to $8.3m compared to $7.8m in the prior year.
In the first six months to March 31 2007, the company reported that its total income rose by 5.7% or $473,000 compared to the comparative period a year earlier.
The Duty Free Caribbean group subsidiary saw sales revenues rise by 6% over the period and net income increase by 19%.
