The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) has unveiled its new ORDer app, a pre-ordering platform set to boost both retail and F&B at O’Hare International Airport.

Developed in partnership with Servy, Hyde Park Hospitality and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports, the app spans services across the airport.

Customers can search, browse, order and pay for food, beverages and retail products for pick-up.

ORDer has been designed to both reduce wait time and give greater visibility to the airport’s full offering.

It is available at, alongside other day-of-travel platforms, including the American Airlines and Priority Pass apps.

ORDer was initially launched across Terminal 5 in 2020, and this full roll-out completes the expansion of mobile ordering across the airport footprint.

The app is built on Servy’s technology and leverages the experience of Hyde Park Hospitality, a local, 100% minority-owned and operated business.

ORDer app: convenient, efficient, accessible

“Offering mobile ordering throughout both of Chicago’s airports is just another way we are providing innovative amenities for our passengers,” said CDA Commissioner, Jamie L. Rhee.

“This partnership supports Chicago’s vision for an airport that serves as a modern, efficient and accessible international gateway while advancing local, minority-owned and small business participation at our airports.”

Jeff Livney, Chief Experience Officer at Servy, added: “As travel has returned and even exceeds pre-pandemic operations across the US and beyond, it is important for airports to provide a convenient digital platform for guests who now expect them as standard in all areas of their lives.

“Through Servy’s Grab Airport Marketplace, ORDer offers convenient, flexible options enabling travellers and airport staff to easily place orders from their own devices and bypass the line with express pick up.

“We’re thrilled to be launching this programme in collaboration with our local operational partner, Hyde Park Hospitality, and leverage the marketing experience of our strategic partner, URW Airports, with CDA to enhance the travel experience and reach more guests during their journey through O’Hare.”

Cortez Carter, Executive Vice President and Partner of Hyde Park Hospitality, commented: “We are excited to be a part of this launch to bring mobile ordering to all of our Chicago airports.

“As a Chicago-based, 100% minority-owned business, we are as proud to bring this technology to our hometown airports as we are to participate in the airports’ continued expansion and growth.”

Last month, ACI figures confirmed that Chicago O’Hare was the world’ fourth busiest airport by passenger traffic in 2022.
