The Dufry Group-owned Hudson Group has been awarded two new duty-free and duty-paid stores at  Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) in Terminal 4 in partnership with Dufry Phoenix Retailers JV.

As the sole duty free operator at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, with this new contract covering just over 2,100sq ft in retail space.

CUSTOMERS WANT DUTY FREE AND DUTY PAID PRODUCTS

Commenting on the new agreement, James E. Bennett, Director of Aviation Services for the City of Phoenix said: “Our goal as America’s Friendliest Airport is to provide our customers with a variety of choices. Customer feedback has shown us that travellers want the ability to purchase both duty free and duty paid products. These new stores will further complement our retail programme to meet our customers’ needs.”

Under this new agreement, Dufry Phoenix Retailers is the duty free sole operator of duty free, with its stores located both pre and post security offering international passengers ‘an excellent assortment of brands and products across all categories’ which the retail says will include wines and spirits, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics, fashion accessories and confectionery.

The airport landlord says the high-end liquor assortment will also feature a collection of fine whiskies, Cognac, wine and Champagne.

It also adds that apart from the aforementioned dutiable goods such as wines, spirits and tobacco, the airport is also upgrading its duty paid offer to domestic passengers, offering a range of featured fragrance brands from Chanel, Clinique, Estée Lauder, Lancôme and others.
