Duty Free arrivals set for El Dorado

By Doug Newhouse |

Motta Internacional Chairman Alberto ‘Pancho’ Motta has confirmed to TREND that the first quarter of this year will see the opening of the company’s first attenza Duty Free arrivals store at Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport.

This opening follows a highly successful year for the company in 2010, with sales increases of between 10% and 25% in the various countries where it operates, with the same expectation forecast again in 2011.

Motta has also continued to roll out its relatively new attenza Duty Free retail concept in South America, in Colombia, Panama and Venezuela. This follows various retail ‘milestone’ openings at El Dorado in 2010, including a walk-through-style outlet last August and a 670sq m multi-category store.
