Go Travel ramps up presence with InMotion across 117 NA doors

By Luke Barras-hill |

Go Travel announced an extended partnership with InMotion in March.

Travel accessory specialist Go Travel has secured front-of-store point of sale (POS) installations at 117 of InMotion’s North America shops, building on an existing partnership between both companies.

The airport-based digital accessories retailer will be the first to roll out Go Travel’s new ‘Quad’ stand,  which places a strong emphasis on the core travel pillow and travel adaptor categories.

Occupying a footprint of under 4.5sq ft, the ‘Quad’ display can hold 40 products on two adjacencies with another two dedicated to the pillows.

In addition, InMotion will introduce a dedicated stand for Go Travel’s American Dreamer memory foam pillow with the product messaging amplified by video content on large digital screens at the front of the shops.

Steve Worden, General Manager, Go Travel said: “Comfort is core to the US travel accessories market and pre-covid recovery is expected to be quicker in the US as 80% of pax is domestic.

“Partnering on American Dreamer with InMotion will allow us to focus on replicating the strong performance we see in our more established markets.”

Pete Newbould, Senior Vice President of InMotion, said: “The American Dreamer hits a sweet spot for InMotion in terms of price and performance, and being ‘Made in America’ gives it a unique selling point that will appeal to many customers.”

Go Travel says the Covid-19 pandemic has presented an opportunity to regroup and focus on key growth categories while investing in retailer support.

The company says it is expecting a bright start to the recovery due to the passenger traffic gains being witnessed in the domestic North America market.

“We are seeing signs of recovery in passenger numbers in recent weeks,” echoes Newbould. “Domestic leisure passengers, for whom the American Dreamer is a perfect product, are returning to the air.”
