HTAs new $3.4m campaign

By Administrator |

Hawaii's Tourism Authority has announced that it is to spend some $3.4m on a series of marketing initiatives to try and boost tourist visitor arrival numbers to Hawaii from Japan, North America, Australia, and New

Zealand.

The initiative follows a big shortfall in the number of higher spending tourist visitors to Hawaii in particular and the new initiative is aimed at recapturing some of these tourists. Part of this campaign will also include commuter train advertising in Tokyo and Osaka and television promotion in Japan.

At the same time, the HTA has recently re-elected its chairman, Kelvin Bloom and Sharon Weiner is to continue as vice chairwoman. Weiner is the Vice President of Global Communications and Government Relations for DFS Group.
