Hudson renews at Pittsburgh International for 10 years

Dufry-owned Hudson Group has secured a 10-year contract extension to operate shops at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).

The contract covers more than 10,900 sq ft of concession space featuring travel essentials, speciality retail and food & beverage, plus the renovation of six stores.

Brands include Hudson, Sarris Candies, Dunkin’ Donuts and Ink by Hudson – Hudson’s latest bookstore concept.

SENSE OF PLACE

“Creating a sense of place is a major initiative as we move forward,” said Eric Sprys, Chief Commercial Officer of the Allegheny County Airport Authority.

“We’re happy to build on our relationship with Hudson Group and Fraport through our shared vision to provide travellers with an unparalleled mix of local and national brands.”

Travel Essentials include Hudson, which is divided into four major categories colour coded for ease of navigation, adopts the recognisable Hudson News fascia selling books, magazines, snacks, beverages, travel and convenience necessities, local souvenirs and electronics.

On the speciality retail side, Sarris Candies offers sweet-toothed customers a range of speciality chocolates and candies, while Ink by Hudson is a contemporary bookshop housing bestselling and classic books, stationery, fashion, artwork, travel essentials and indulgences.

On the F&B side, Dunkin’ Donuts joins the lineup and is located in the Landside Terminal.
