Regional Manager for Western Europe Herman Ten is to leave Imperial Tobacco Duty Free

Imperial Tobacco has announced the formation of a new Americas duty free territory led by Jose Rubiralta, who will continue to coordinate global export business.

Rubiralta previously held the role of Imperial Tobacco Export Director, overseeing the export sales and operations of machine made cigars.

Under the new structure, the previous Western Europe DF region/Americas businesses will be split with the Western Europe part of the business reporting to the Europe region. As a result, Regional Manager for Western Europe Herman Ten will leave Imperial Tobacco Duty Free.

The company has also confirmed the full integration of the Global Export business into the Global Duty Free structure. This will further improve time to market, drive efficiencies and foster delivery of shareholder value through acceleration of growth, according to Imperial.

Director Sales and Marketing Global Duty Free and Export Christian Münstermann said: “We would like to thank Herman Ten for his great achievements in both regions, Americas and Western Europe and his great passion for duty free.

“These structural changes give us the opportunity to have a bigger focus on the Americas business with all its challenges and opportunities and at the same time further export opportunities around the world.”

Director Corporate Affairs and Compliance Jennifer Cords added: “On the one hand it is with great regret to announce, that Herman Ten leaves the business, but on the other we are pleased to announce that Jose Rubiralta (pictured left) has been appointed new Regional Manager for the Americas.”
