Duty Free Americas (DFA) has unveiled its maiden DFA Festival, a platform for wines & spirits suppliers to showcase brands and strengthen visibility among millions of global travellers.

Running from now through May at key airport locations in Latin America, the festival is a collaboration with payment provider Visa and a roster of household W&S companies, including Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Moët Hennessy, Bacardi, Campari Group, Suntory Global Spirits, William Grant & Sons, Proximo Spirits, Sazerac, Brown-Forman, S.P.I. Spirits (Stoli), Compañia Licorera de Nicaragua, Varela Internacional, Beluga and Tito’s Vodka.

“This is an exciting milestone for Duty Free Americas as we launch the DFA Festival, backed by the world’s leading wine and spirits producers,” said Dov Falic, Vice President, DFA. “The initiative positions these producers at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing categories in travel retail while delivering a highly engaging experience for travellers.”

Airports such as Panama and Punta Cana have been celebrating Spring Break and Carnival season with live DJs, performances and experiential tasting stations as part of the DFA Festival to help create an immersive and festival atmosphere for travellers (pictured right and below).

Travellers that spend above a specified threshold using their Visa card can receive a complimentary trolley bag as part of the promotion.

The festival will expand across the travel retailer’s 250-plus store network throughout the Americas in 2026.
