NTRG: Striving for Retail Excellence
By Administrator |
This year's annual meeting of key players in the Nordic Travel Retail Business is scheduled for May 31 at the Lauritzen Terminal in Copenhagen Airport.
The Nordic Travel Retail Group says that the theme of the seminar will be ?striving for business excellence? and will feature presentations from Alfred Josefsen from Danish Irma, Michael Skov from Retail Institute Scandinavia and Frank O?Connell, the President of ETRC.
?Our aim is to inspire the key players in the Nordic Travel Retail Business and to strive for retail excellence. Travel Retail is all about great brands in a great environment and with all the new security regulations it is even more important to ensure a nice travel experience?, says Erik Thomsen, Chairman of the Nordic Travel Retail Group.
?We want to look positively at the future, but we will also spend time on the current security issues at the airports, because it is a concern right now and we need to update our members and colleagues on the efforts we have done together with ETRC?, says Erik Thomsen.
The seminar topics will include what influences the buying behaviour in the shops; how will global development and trends influence Nordic Travel Retail; what are the main concerns when planning a new shop and how do you strive for ?Retail Excellence?; what promotional concepts work well and what has been less successful; how does travel retail compete with the domestic market on other parameters that price.
The Nordic Travel Retail Group says that ‘as usual’ the 2007 seminar will also provide good opportunities for networking. In the evening the seminar will transfer into dinner and drinks at the Admiral Hotel in the centre of Copenhagen.
?It is my impression that the Nordic Seminar is a very important networking tool for a broad part of the Nordic business?, says Erik Thomsen.
This fifth Nordic Seminar is being organised as a non-profit event with a registration fee of E.285. It will be moderated by Dermot Davitt from the Moodie Report.
