Los Angeles World Airports? (LAWA) Executive Director Lydia Kennard announced yesterday that she is leaving LAWA to join a new aviation-related real estate company.

The announcement comes against unconfirmed rumours that Kennard is looking to become the next Secretary of Business Transportation and Housing under the administration of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to replace Sunne Wright Mcpeak.
Los Angeles? Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa now says that LAWA will advertise Kennard?s post and she will act as an advisor to the process to find her successor.
