More speakers added to programme of virtual Summit of Americas in April

A broad array of speakers will assess the short- and medium-term picture for travel in the Americas, offer consumer views, and assess the region’s economic prospects post-Covid.

The forthcoming Summit of the Americas (5-9 April) has bolstered its speaker lineup with representation across the travel and retail ecosystem.

The virtual event is being organised by the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) and Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report.

New additions to the programme include Alex Anson, Chief Operations Officer, 3Sixty Duty Free; Jerome Falic, CEO, Duty Free Americas; Justin Guay, Vice President, Importations Guay Ltee; Eddie Ferenczi, Vice President, SMT Duty Free; Roderick McOwan, Chief Development Officer, Marshall Retail Group.

They are joined by Roel Huinink, President & CEO, JFKIAT; Jeff Livney, CXO, Servy; Heidi van Roon, Founder, Sparx Business Services Group; Ignacio Vázquez, Head of Marketing, Bacardi Global Travel Retail; and José Ricardo Botelho, Executive Director & CEO, Latin American & Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA).

Renowned economist and familiar face in travel retail Americas Carlos Melconian will offer insights.

Delegates will also hear from Olivier Ponti, VP Insights at ForwardKeys; Scott Mayerowitz, Executive Editorial Director, The Points Guy; and Michael Taylor, Travel Practice Lead, J.D. Power.

The 2021 virtual summit will now run for an extra day until 9 April following a decision by the organisers.
