Mr Bones settles down in Mexico City

By Doug Newhouse |

A 194sq ft Kiehl’s store has opened in Terminal 2 at Benito Juáez International Airport in Mexico City – the very first to open in the country that meets all of the brand’s traditional codes.

Kiehl’s has been an amazing success for L’Oréal since it acquired the brand in 2000 and it is now present in around 200 stores around the world.

The new store – complete with its iconic ‘Mr Bones’ trademark skeleton – offers ranges of face to hair/body care products for men and women and is laid out in the traditional fashion, looking part chemist store and part doctor’s surgery, with the Kiehl’s signature featured on the store fascia and across the store entrance.

A small chandelier hangs from the centre of the store entrance and this seems to meet with the approval of Mr Bones, who is fully adorned with sombrero, sunglasses and his trademark cheeky grin.
