Marshall Retail Group greets shoppers to Las Vegas with 4,375sq ft gift shop

The 4,375-square-foot Welcome to Las Vegas Gift Shop pays tribute to the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign.

WHSmith-owned Marshall Retail Group (MRG) has paid tribute to its ‘Welcome to Las Vegas Gift Shop’ after the 27th iteration opened in Las Vegas valley.

The 4,375sq ft store, situated in New York New York Hotel & Casino, continues a concept first launched in 1996.

“The opening of our 27th Welcome to Las Vegas store is an exciting accomplishment for our team and an incredible testament to Marshall Retail Group’s remarkable growth over the past several years,” commented Toby Keir, CEO of Marshall Retail Group.


“We’re thrilled to be expanding our presence on the Strip and New York New York Hotel & Casino is the perfect location for the newest Welcome to Las Vegas store.”

Open Sunday – Thursday (9:00am to 10:00pm) and Friday – Saturday (9:00am – midnight), the shop sells an extensive array of souvenirs and keepsakes such as Las Vegas branded men’s and women’s T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, shot glasses, socks, snacks, and more.

It also carries a wide assortment of Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Raiders merchandise.

The store frontage is an ode to the iconic ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign and boasts an updated aesthetic that points towards the changing nature of the city.

Vintage graphics such as sequin-embellished ‘showgirl’ (Sue Johansson) from the Casino de Paris in 1977 and classic Vegas signs from the Neon Museum line the upper wall, adding doses of Las Vegas glitz, glamour and nostalgia inside the shopping centre.

The store also pays homage to New York New York Hotel & Casino with a replica of the original New York New York sign on display.
