News and gift proposals

Hudson, HMSHost, AREAS and Paradies will all make their cases today to try and win the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport news and gift contract.

All four will make presentations to the Broward County Selection Committee for a concession that covers most of the airports news and gift shops in all four terminals and which may still be split into two contracts, subject to the offers that the airport body receives.
Broward County has made it clear that it is looking for more national brands to come into the airport, along with more variety and this is the first time in 20 years that it has tendered the business openly.
Paradies is the incumbent operator of the shops at Fort Lauderdale and it is expected to mount a rigorous defence of its business.
