Nuances three new stores

The Nuance Group has opened a total of 1,734sq m of new retail space at Toronto Pearson Airport?s Pier F, comprising three stores with its new main 1,024sq m international outlet now one of the
largest duty free stores in North America.
The company says that its three new stores were designed in partnership with the airport authorities and vendor base in order to meet the needs of Canada?s busiest airport.
In a statement, the company said: ‘With the luxury of space, the new main international store allows Nuance to offer a vast selection of premium liquor, cosmetics, fragrances, imported chocolates, fashion accessories and souvenirs in a customer-friendly environment.
‘The increase in space has also led to the introduction of new luxury product lines such as La Mer, MAC; Lacoste, Freeze 24, Michael Kors handbags, Davidoff cigars, rare blends of Scotch from Macallan, Ballantines and Glenfiddich, 100 cask Chivas Royal Salute as well as rare blends of Cognac from Camus and R?my Martin, with some of these being traded at Toronto Pearson for the first time.
‘In addition to these new product lines, Nuance continues to offer exclusive duty free products such as rare blends of Scotch and Cognac and limited release international wines from Italy, France and Australia.’
Nuance added that The Tastefully Canadian concept over 317sq m still offers the best of Canadian-made products, from award winning Niagara ice wine, British Columbia wild salmon, to maple syrup, as well as the internationally known Canadian brand Roots.
Significantly, the retailer said that it is now the first travel retailer in North America to have post-security duty free stores (essentially arrivals duty free) for those travelling to the US from Toronto Pearson.
Any passenger travelling to the US through Toronto Pearson will be able to purchase duty free after they have passed through security at the 393sq m stores located immediately after the security check points – a real advantage for customers to shop without the worry of what they can take with them through security.
Richard Rendek, Ceo North America for The Nuance Group said: ‘The Nuance Group North America is currently changing the duty free experience for its customers through major renovations in Las Vegas, Houston, Denver and Ft. Lauderdale and especially through our new store openings in Toronto, our largest operation. Our goal is to create interactive ways for customers to experience our product offering through events and interactive displays.
‘We furthermore train our staff to answer questions from duty free allowances and product details to clarifying confusion over liquid restrictions. Another innovation will be the launch of US Post Customs Duty Free, initially as a test concept at Toronto Pearson. We anticipate its success as customers will welcome the simplicity of purchasing duty free.’
