Red By Dufry loyalty scheme touches down with Hudson in North America

Travellers can now avail of the ‘Red By Dufry’ loyalty programme at Hudson travel retail and convenience outlets across North America.

By joining Red By Dufry, members will receive unique benefits and privileges such as discounts, a special birthday reward, perks from brands, and pre-ordering via Reserve & Collect (as available), accessible through the mobile app.

Dufry introduced the loyalty scheme several years ago and it is now accepted in excess of 50 countries.

NEXT STEP IN DIGITAL JOURNEY

Hudson says the addition of Red By Dufry marks the latest step in creating a ‘seamless shopping experience’ for travellers utilising digital technology.

Last year, the news and convenience travel retailer launched Hudson Nonstop – powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out Technology – and automated speciality retail.

It has also expanded self-checkout capabilities, introduced mobile points of sale through the Hudson ‘Evolve’ concept, implemented Amazon’s palm recognition service ‘Amazon One’, and unveiled click-and-collect shopping.

HOW IT WORKS

Red by Dufry members sign up for the tier-based loyalty programme in-store or online and can immediately earn points and receive exclusive discounts each time they buy products and brands.

All new members obtain Silver status, receiving 5% off every purchase* irrespective of shopping frequency or spend level.

The more points a member accumulates, the faster they are able to unlock new membership tiers and higher-level discounts.

Gold members and platinum members can avail of 7% and 10% discounts, respectively.

Savings can also be had on car rentals and additional Red By Dufry points can be earned on hotel bookings.

To mark the launch with Hudson, new members will receive a sign-up offer of up to 50% off a single purchase through a digital scratch-off with a chance to win a seven-day Caribbean cruise.
