Seattle Airport Lease Group 4 tenders ‘still under evaluation’
By Luke Barras-hill |
The Port of Seattle’s latest Lease Group 4 tranche of retail & F&B leases remain under evaluation following an invitation to bid deadline of 5 October 2017.
Five retail and seven F&B concessions were put out to tender in July last year, including lifestyle/adventurewear, jewellery accessories, news & convenience and casual dining options across a total of 21 units with bidder requirements later amended to cover concepts from ‘an authentic, well-recognised brand’ or a ‘new or existing concept’.
In a note, Jim Schone, Director, Aviation Commercial Management, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport said: “I am writing to advise you that the evaluation process for the proposals submitted in response to the opportunities in the Airport Dining and Retail (ADR) Lease Group 4 is still not finished yet. I will keep you advised on an expected completion date.”
As noted at the time bids were issued, proposers will be awarded one request for proposal (RFP) retail package or up to two Competitive Evaluation Process (CEP) retail packages. [For detailed information on the original lease packages, click here].
With the exception of the LG4 CEP R-4 speciality retail lease and the five-unit LG4 RFP R-5 package, stores of which are targeted to open in March and between December 2018 to February 2019, respectively, all other retail concessions are due to open in either March or December 2019.
Space ranges from between 400sq ft to 2,409sq ft across the retail concession packages.
Ranking in the top 10 busiest airports in the US in terms of passenger traffic, Sea-Tac handled 46.9m (+2%) pax in 2017.
