Starboard CS chief Lisa Bauer gains seat on IAADFS Board of Directors

Starboard Cruise Services Chief Executive Lisa Bauer has joined the IAADFS Board of Directors.

The International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) has appointed Starboard Cruise Services Chief Executive Officer Lisa Bauer to the association’s Board of Directors.

Bauer, an accomplished cruise industry leader at the helm of cruise retail giant Starboard and its sister company Onboard Media – the subject of new ownership after LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton disposed of a majority stake in its cruise retail division in December has taken on a newly created seat on the Board.

Rene Riedi, Chairman, IAADFS said: “We are thrilled to have Lisa join the Board of Directors. Her appointment underlines our dedication to ongoing exploration of innovative ideas and strategies aimed at enhancing our support for both our members and the broader industry.

“She brings new experiences and perspectives to the Board, and we’re also very happy to have Starboard represented in the association and on the Board.”

Over the course of her career, Bauer has occupied numerous leadership posts in the travel sector, including Vice President of Onboard Experience at Delta Airlines; Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Chief Operating Officer for International Cruise & Excursions; and Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Royal Caribbean International.

Bauer added: “It is an honour to join the IAADFS Board of Directors and continue to give back to the retail industry, as well as lend my expertise to advance the incredible opportunities available in the cruise sector.”
