The International Association of Airport Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) is inviting the industry to register and book their accommodation for the 2023 Summit of the Americas (16-19 April).

As reported, the Summit returns to the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida with a familiar exhibit hall format supported by a limited number of private exhibit/meeting rooms.

Space requests have already been received from the likes of Bacardi, Brown-Forman, Diageo, JTI Travel Retail Americas, Mondelēz, Pernod Ricard, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Webb Banks, Worldclassbrands, with this list ‘continuing to grow’.

Last year’s Summit of the Americas – the first in-person since 2019 – offered a dynamic educational programme that featured a regional iteration of the Travel Retail Consumer Forum.

In a statement, IAADFS acknowledges that it will take some companies longer than usual to coordinate their attendance this year and said it will work to provide ample time for exhibitors to complete display plans.

“We are looking forward to being back in West Palm Beach, Florida, for our second year at this new venue,” commented IAADFS President and CEO Michael Payne.

“We appreciate the early commitments we’ve received from key suppliers, and we expect to build upon the strong response from key duty free and travel retail buyers that we witnessed from our 2022 event. These commitments underscore the importance of the industry in the Americas and Caribbean.”

Last year’s Summit of the Americas, the first hosted at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, featured a special regional edition of the TR Consumer Forum with contributions from Pernod Ricard, Dufry, m1nd-set, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and LXR.

The 2022 Summit of the Americas drew a total of 866 delegates, including 269 buyers.
