Retailer WH Smith North America has opened four retail locations at Nashville International Airport (BNA) inside the newly renovated Grand Lobby area.
The new stores are Whiskey Trailhead, Natalie’s Candy Jar, Musicians Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Inspired by the Tennessee Whiskey Trail which takes in more than 30 distilleries, Whiskey Trailhead offers whiskey and merchandise from stops along the route. It also offers tastings in-store.
Natalie’s Candy Jar offers confectionery and speciality gifts to Nashville passengers. The self-serve store concept features conventional as well as nostalgic and hard-to-find sweets, along with high-end chocolate and other candy gifts.
The Musicians Hall of Fame concept takes inspiration from the real Musicians Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville. Details include a replica of the famous Sun City Recording Studio in Memphis where Elvis recorded. It also features a Jimi Hendrix ‘Purple Haze’ record replica, a juke box, and a guitar collage made of real guitars.
Finally, Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum shares the history of the genre through novelty and speciality retail items. The assortment includes t-shirts, rhinestone jean jackets, western hats and mugs. In addition, Hatch Show Print posters are available to purchase in-store.
“Nashville is such a unique place and our teams at WH Smith North America are proud to provide travelers a place to take a piece of this great city home with them.” said Toby Keir, CEO of WH Smith North America.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute these imaginative concepts to BNA’s Grand Lobby project.
“It was a pleasure to work with the amazing teams at Fraport, USA, The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, and our locally based ACDBE partners, Angela Mitchell Hill and Marti Emch, as well as our locally based Brand partners, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”
WH Smith is America’s leading speciality retailer. The business also includes Marshall Retail Group and InMotion.
Last month, WHSmith North America delighted Utah Jazz fans by opening a merchandise store for the basketball team at Salt Lake City International Airport.
