Yves Saint Laurent ‘dares’ travellers to beautify at LAX

L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas is inviting passengers at Los Angeles International Airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal (LAX TBIT) to sample the latest beauty trends courtesy of Yves Saint Laurent Beauté.
Running since the beginning of July, the US-first pop-up ‘Dare to Stage in L.A.’ invites travellers to sample a YSL lipstick DJ station where they can choose shades including oranges, pinks, nudes, shiny/glossy, matte and ultra-matte.
At the ‘Make it yours’ station, they can customise their favourite lipstick, including the latest Tatouage Couture, with exclusive L.A. stickers and an engraving service.
LIVE MAKEUP APPLICATIONS
Meanwhile, virtual makeup applications or live consultations by makeup artists can create looks for day and night, before the transformations are captured via ‘selfies’ at the one-of-a-kind ‘Instagrammable’ lipstick wall, which immortalises the beauty experiences at one of the US’s busiest airports.
In a final flourish, customers can climb on stage to perform with a microphone to audiences.
At a special event, four Chinese influencers with a combined 4.9m followers were invited to the airport to trial the colourful mixing table and showcase the YSL makeup palettes.
“This pop-up event is a new illustration of a unique customer shopping experience, part of a memorable journey,” commented L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas.
