Rituals to mark Earth Week with 20% off refills in standalone travel retail shops

By Luke Barras-hill |

Rituals Cosmetics is showcasing its commitment to a more sustainable future via a special initiative dovetailing with Earth Week (21-25 April).

The beauty company is offering 20% off all product refills during the week in its standalone travel retail stores, online and in local markets.

Rituals will also donate a tree for every refill sold as part of a partnership with Earthday.org, which has planted tens of millions of trees with The Canopy Project.

Customers can benefit from refills across a range of Rituals products such as body creams, fragrance sticks, car perfumes, kitchen products and the Ritual of Namaste day and night creams.

The company says that by choosing a refill instead of purchasing a new product, consumers can help Rituals to diminish its carbon footprint.

Rituals says it adopts a ‘holistic’ approach to selecting product ingredients, packaging materials and fabric.

In 2020, Rituals saved 272,682 kilograms of materials, equating to the carbon emissions of 1,411 long-haul flights, 8.5 million litres of water and  the energy needs of 1,806 households.

Earth Day, which takes place on 22 April, is an annual occasion designed to trigger proactive changes that support out environment.
