TRBusiness cuts its ‘magazine miles’ by printing tradeshow issues locally
By Faye Bartle |
Following the successful TR Sustainability Week (4-8 September 2023), TRBusiness continues to cut its ‘magazine miles’, by pledging to print its tradeshow issues locally to where they are distributed.
The initiative is highlighted by the new ‘printed locally’ tick that features on our front cover.
TRBusiness first began this initiative throughout the year in 2022 (starting with its Summit of the Americas issue).
Once again, the October and Top 10 International Operators issues have been printed within 5km of the Palais. The November/December 2023 issue will be printed in Accra, Ghana, close to the MEADFA conference venue.
Each year, on top of its 10 widely read digital-first e-zines, TRBusiness produces four special edition print issues to coincide with the industry’s major trade shows: Summit of the Americas, TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, TFWA World Exhibition & Conference and MEADFA.
Printing these locally reduces the transportation miles needed to get the publications into the hands of delegates. In turn, this helps to minimise the environmental footprint of the operation, compared to printing them in the UK where the company is based.
Further to this, TRBusiness magazine is printed on FSC paper stock and, as the use of varnish and laminates is avoided, the pages are completely recyclable.
