An experienced cross-section of travel bloggers from across the world have shared their thoughts on the ongoing effects of the coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19) and whether it has influenced their travel plans.
In a series of interviews filmed on location in London during the judging for the 2020 consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards, several consumers revealed that the virus’s spread has not hampered travel plans, although the threat has heightened awareness surrounding approaches to hygiene.
One pointed towards the ‘media storm’ that has engulfed perceptions of what the coronavirus represents, while another mentioned the importance of ensuring rational decisions are made at a time of great uncertainty. Conversation also touched on the likelihood that cheap travel deals could emerge as a result of the situation.
