TR Sustainability Week: ACI’s Luis Felipe de Oliveira on decarbonising aviation

As part of TR Sustainability Week’s compilation of exclusive video content – available on a daily basis via TRBusiness.com – TRBusiness speaks to ACI World Director General Luis Felipe de Oliveira about the membership organisation’s efforts to mitigate against carbon emissions under the direct control of the airports it serves across the world.

In a wide-ranging conversation as part of an extended lead interview, Oliveira tells TRBusiness that sustainable infrastructure efficiencies at airports and the evolution of technology will play an important role in accelerating future collective efforts towards decarbonising the aviation sector.

Aside offering a timely international air passenger traffic update following the release of ACI World’s Airport Traffic Dataset, Oliveira also discusses the ‘Airports of Tomorrow’ partnership launched in collaboration with the World Economic Forum.
