TRBusiness talks to Giles Marks, Director of Duty Free Sales at Maui Jim, as the brand completes its 10th anniversary in travel retail (at the end of 2016). He offers his views on the changes that have occurred for the brand in that time

Marks explains how 2016 was a challenging year for the company which had to contend with a ‘soft retail environment’, after several years of growth.

However, as a mono-brand company, Maui Jim forges ahead with its keen focus on lens technology and innovation as well as the launch of many more fashion-forward styles. He explains how although the industry faces many difficulties, he still has high hopes for 2017.
