Setur Duty Free records impressive 40% turnover growth in 2023

Across its entire assortment, Setur DF provides over 40,000 different products from approximately 600 brands.
Setur Duty Free, Turkey’s most widespread brand in duty free operations, recorded a strong growth in 2023 by increasing turnover by 40 percent year-on-year.
Part of this success was attributed to the construction of a new store at the Cologne-Bonn Airport in Germany, whereby the company made its first move towards becoming a global brand.
This marks its first international foothold, and Setur Duty Free (Setur DF) added that it will continue to focus on its on its marketing, product range, customer experience, and store design, elements which reportedly drove a 98% growth in its perfume and cosmetics, boutique and accessories, and F&B categories when compared to 2022.
Setur DF also said the store, which was operational as of 1 June 2023, prioritised customer experience and sustainable architectural designs.
The rest of Setur DF’s operations in Turkey comprise 55 stores throughout 22 locations with a total sales area of approximately 22,000sq m at airports, landborders and seaports.
In the first three months of 2024, Setur achieved a turnover increase of 35 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, which it hailed as a sustainable and strong growth trend within the business.
