Inflight Sales Group signs Tigerair

Inflight Sales Group (ISG) has signed an agreement with Singapore’s leading ‘no-frills’ airline Tigerair to manage its duty free retail programme with effect from 1st July 2014.
ISG says the agreement marks ‘a strategic coup’ for the company, firmly establishing itself as probably the fastest-growing inflight travel retailer after its other recent successes in Russia, Japan and Malaysia already this year.
ISG Managing Director Tony Detter said: “We were thrilled to have been invited to the RFP and then delighted to be awarded by Tigerair, who have entrusted us with taking their inflight retail program to the next significant level, not just financially but also qualitatively.
“ISG has always been focused on delivering fantastic value to our customers not just through an innovatively-curated product line-up and passenger-focused marketing promotions, but also through the building of a transparent and “win-win” relationship with all stakeholders. We are therefore honoured to partner with Tigerair for their duty free retail programme.”
ISG Executive Director Vimal Rai added: “In an increasingly crowded and competitive Southeast Asian market, this win provides us an exciting opportunity to showcase our expertise in providing a customised and yet differentiated inflight retail offering that is relevant to Tigerair’s customers. Selling will be a pleasure for crew, thanks to the intuitive, “next-gen” Point-of-Sale hardware solution that will be implemented come 1st July. We are excited to get started!”
ISG is simultaneously planning to revamp and upgrade the existing platforms on which Tigershop is promoted. This includes the printed catalogue on board, the website (incorporating a pre-order solution for those customers who pre-plan their duty free purchases) and working with relevant stakeholders to increase awareness, acceptance and eventually advocacy of Tigershop as an exciting and relevant retail option for Tigerair’s customers.
