Lagardère opens first DXB retail store with Pangaia GTR debut

Pangaia and Lagardère have both made retail debuts at DBX.
Sustainable “materials science” clothing brand Pangaia has opened its first GTR location at Dubai International Airport (DXB), in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail.
Situated in Concourse B, Terminal 3, the 182 sqm store offers a range of clothing made using innovative, responsible fabrics.
It also marks Lagardère’s first retail opening at Dubai International, which it will operate alongside its extensive range of food and beverage outlets.
Pangaia’s mission statement is to “inspire and accelerate” an Earth-positive future, a purpose displayed on a large digital fascia as passengers enter the retail space.
Once inside, the store immerses travellers in nature, through a custom-built terrarium, natural soundscape, and through the use of scent.
The shop itself has been mindfully designed using locally-sourced, natural materials, with LED lighting throughout.
Pangaia’s assortment offered in-store includes organic or recycled cotton loungewear, FLWRDWN outerwear, recycled wool and cashmere, plant-based activewear, grape leather sneakers, jersey styles made from the brand’s FRUTFIBER material, and a selection of MIRUM accessories.

“The journey has been marked by a very collaborative and enthusiastic spirit, eager to bring the brand to life in the world’s busiest airport.
“This new business venture is a testament of Lagardère Travel Retail’s commitment to provide innovative and unique experiences to passengers, alongside the strong sustainability focus our business has for the years to come.”
‘Accelerate industry transformation’

Pangaia launched in late 2018 with a mission to accelerate an Earth-positive future.

Lagardère Travel Retail Singapore recently hosted a series of sustainability-focused joint ventures as part of a three-month campaign, including the introduction of an internal staff incentive to encourage innovative carbon-saving ideas.
