TRBusiness Summit Shorts: Tito’s Handmade Vodka

Tito’s Handmade Vodka Managing Director John McDonnell says smaller-sized bottlings represent the biggest opportunity for the brand’s growth in the Americas.

Travel retail veteran McDonnell spoke on camera to TRBusiness ‘Summit Shorts’, the quick-fire video series produced in partnership with Bluedog Group, on location at the recent Summit of the Americas in Florida.

“More and more people are looking for smaller formats in addition to the leading size. Our biggest challenge is parallel products coming into the region. As the brand continues to grow, buyers are looking to buy from different regions in the world and that creates problems for duty free operators and domestic retailers.”

In related news, Curran Zinn, formerly of WEBB Banks, joined the Tito’s Handmade Vodka team as International Travel Retail Manager, effective 22 April.

Curran is responsible for channels including cruise retail after Tito’s took the decision to manage the business directly [previously this was handled by WEBB Banks – Ed].
