Foreo and FAQ have opened points of sale at Wangfujing International Duty Free Harbour City in Hainan.

Beauty brands Foreo and FAQ have unveiled eye-catching points of sale (POS) at the latest retail emporium on the radar in Hainan: Wangfujing International Duty Free Harbour City.

The brands, which have earned an impressive fan base, have arrived in style at the Skincare Boutique within the WFJ Cosmetic and Perfume District at Wangfujing (WFJ) in Wanning.

At 50 square metres, the Foreo POS marks the brand’s largest duty free space in China to date.

“It is an honour for our brands to be able to open two new POS simultaneously, and at one of the most up and coming travel retail districts in the world,” said Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong.

“Foreo and FAQ are built on innovation and the desire to continuously improve and provide the best selection of products at the most locations possible.

“Making our brands accessible at Wangfujing International Duty Free Harbour City is bound to improve our stature among the Gen Z market and its peers, and we are excited to see how much further Wanning can grow to become the new ‘it’ destination in Hainan.”

Both brands are displayed in a central location, rubbing shoulders with international brands such as Avene, Nuxe, NARS and Laneige.

The line-up of products from Foreo includes the Luna 4 range (comprising the Luna 4, Luna 4 Mini, and Luna 4 Go), which launched during the 2022 TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes.

Designed to cater to the skincare needs of Generation Z, the Luna 4 Mini has a dual-sided facial cleansing brush and a 30-second Glow Boost Mode for a quick skincare fix.

The Luna 4 is a two-in-one smart facial cleansing and firming device, with built-in massage functions available on the Foreo app.

Finally, the ultra-lightweight and travel friendly Luna 4 Go offers a deep cleanse and gentle massage, and is available in four shades (Pistachio, Peach Perfect, Lavender and Evergreen). Small but mighty, it completes up to 300 60-second uses per full charge.

From the anti-ageing FAQ collection comes SKUs of FAQ 101 and FAQ 102.

The devices utilise innovative facial rejuvenation technologies (such as EMS-Pro, Power-RF, LED-Pulse and T-Sonic pulsations) to deliver professional level anti-ageing treatments at home.

The rise of Wanning as a tourism hotspot in Hainan

Wanning, which is located on the southeast side of Hainan in between Sanya and Haikou, has been widely lauded as the hottest new tourism and surfing destination in Hainan.

Visitors can enjoy water sports in Riyue Bay, Shimei Bay and the Shenzhou Peninsula.

The city has been developed with the preferences of affluent Generation Z travellers in mind – a boon for brands seeking to target this consumer segment.

Wangfujing International Duty Free Harbour City spans is new to the scene, having only recently undergone a trial operation on 18 January.

It spans approximately 100,000 square metres, with a complex brimming with almost 400 international duty free and duty paid brands, and top attractions include a skating rink and Hainan’s first drive-in cinema.

It is Wangfujing Group’s first offshore duty free store in Hainan.
