Rocks Whiskey Chilling Stones says that its Korean Air success demonstrates the ‘big interest’ in the brand in travel retail.

Rocks Whiskey Chilling Stones has made its Korea travel retail debut with its best-selling product, The Original Rocks, being listed on Korean Air’s Skyshop and in-flight sales channels – and stocks sold out within a week.

The Original Rocks comprises six handcrafted and polished fast-cooling, non-diluting solid granite stones that consumers can place in their glass to cool fine spirits without watering down their drink.

For the Korean Air launch, the product was featured in the ‘what’s new’ section of the airline’s Skyshop print magazine, as well as on the KAL Skyshop website.

Subsequently, the product sold out within its first week of being available onboard the airline.

“As a manufacturer with a focus on gifting, this cooperation demonstrates the big interest for our brand in the travel retail channels,” said Mr Depigny, CEO.

The six whiskey stones in the The Original Rocks each have a different colour and granite-style making each set completely original.

“We are committed to present a product assortment that will enlarge the offer for the wines and spirits category and develop sales through cross-selling and gifting,” he continued.

“This collaboration is a key milestone for the brand and we are very pleased to introduce our products to the Korean market and beyond in partnership with Korean Air.

“As a premium gifting brand, we are committed to offering complementary products to the wines and spirits category.

“This launch also shows the interest and demand from end customers for new, unique and upscale gifts products.”

The fast-cooling, non-diluting solid granite stones can be placed in the glass to cool fine spirits without watering down the drink.
