DG – TRBusinessBahrain Duty Free has extended its Dolce&Gabbana fragrance counter at Bahrain International Airport in view of the busy summer travel season.

The 20sq m space – up from 6sq m – is the latest addition to the airport’s refreshed departures retail area as it seeks to increase dwell time in the space.

“The April launch of the expanded Dolce&Gabbana counter adds even more weight to our high profile perfumes & cosmetics space and is particularly timely as we move into the busy summer and Eid travel season,” commented Bassam Al Wardi, General Manager, Bahrain Duty Free.

“Month by month we continue to surprise and delight passengers travelling through Bahrain International Airport with new retail opportunities that celebrate the very best of the designers’ creative world.”

D&G RANGE EXPANSIONS

Commenting on the unveiling, Olivier Decazes, General Manager Travel Retail EMEA,  Dolce&Gabbana, added: “The Bahrain Duty Free shop renovation is a great opportunity for Dolce&Gabbana to improve and modernise its in-store visibility, thanks to an exciting new counter. We are very happy to offer the very best of Dolce&Gabbana thanks to our amazing and complete range.

“We invite travellers to Bahrain to visit us at departures to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Italian style and to try our exclusive fragrance, Velvet Collection, which pays homage to Dolce&Gabbana’s sartorial heritage with a unique range of artisanal fragrances that explore the deepest sense of male and female human nature.”

The high-fashion Italian brand showcased its first fragrance, the award-winning Dolce&Gabanna Pour Femme, in 1985.

Since then, the prestige label has grown its male and female fragrance collections to include Light Blue, The One and Dolce franchises.

Recently, British actors Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke were announced as the new faces of The One.

These fragrances anchor the new look-counter, which is embossed in striking black and gold livery.
