Changi Airport and partners seize TR Awards’ opportunity

Changi-Airport-Travel-Retail-Awards-lead-brighterFollowing its quadruple win at the Travel Retail Awards in May, Singapore Changi Airport, together with its retail and supplier partners have fully supported the initiative through powerful unified promotions across its terminals.

 

Changi Airport added to its already impressive trophy cabinet in May with a quadruple win at the Travel Retail Awards.

 

Expert research and priceless consumer blogger and vlogger (video blogger) feedback combined on 7 May to crown the airport along with the industry’s other trailblazers in the first consumer-voted Travel Retail Awards, in association with TRBusiness and m1nd-set.

 

Held in Singapore at the Conrad Centennial Hotel, the game-changing initiative recognised true ingenuity in travel retailing, with a total of nineteen awards (five airport, 13 product categories) handed out on the night.

Changi won in the following four categories: Best airport for customer service; Best digital and social media offer; Best airport for ‘sense of place’ and Best airport for retail environment (as voted for by all age groups).

 

In addition to flagging the event with prominent signage at the airport, prior to the awards, since the event Changi has continued to powerfully promote its accolades and the Travel Retail Awards initiative at the airport.

 

“We encouraged our tenants that have winning products to display the [Travel Retail Awards] logo in-store,” the Airport told TRBusiness.

 

It is also encouraging brands to include the logo in their product images which will be uploaded to the airport’s ecommerce platform, iShopChangi, through which it has sent out an EDM (electronic direct mail) to its vast network of customers about the awards.

The airport is also wearing its own Travel Retail Awards winners logos with pride on its corporate site.

CONSUMER VOTE OF CONFIDENCE
