Setur scores seven-year duty free & duty paid contract at Cologne Bonn Airport

Turkish duty free operator and Koç Group company, Setur, has been awarded a contract to operate duty free and duty paid stores at Cologne Bonn Airport for seven and-a-half years.

 

Setur Duty Free’s footprint will stretch over approximately 1,500sq m, across two terminals of the airport, which served 12.4 million passengers in 2019.

 

Alongside its wide product range, customer-centric store design, ‘innovative digital solutions’, and sustainability approach, Setur said it will deliver ‘a unique customer journey for all customer profiles’.

 

Setur Duty Free also said it aims to maximise the customer experience through a data-driven business approach, enhanced through a digital retail experience to ‘maximise the potential’ of Cologne Bonn Airport, which provides flights to more than 100 different destinations, including Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

 

Ahmet Sönmez, CEO of Setur said: “Setur Duty Free, a pioneer and most widespread duty-free company in Turkey, is operating 50 stores throughout 20 locations with a total sales area of 22,000 square meters at land borders, seaports, and airports.
