OUT NOW: TRBusiness August/September ezine
By Faye Bartle |
The August/September TRBusiness ezine, featuring dedicated beauty and food & confectionery reports, is now live and ready to view.
The peak summer travel period brings a fresh wave of opportunity for DF&TR stakeholders to convert travellers into duty free shoppers with inviting concepts that capture the spirit of the season – and this year’s flurry of innovations are a cut above, from the ice-cream themed Jo Malone Raspberry Ripple outpost in Sanya to Sol de Janeiro’s ‘hot summer tour’, which marks its biggest travel retail campaign to date.
Our 22-page beauty section (from page 93) unpacks how category stakeholders are building their business this summer and beyond.
One of the biggest stories of the season has been the opening of the new passenger terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima.
TRBusiness hears from those leading the charge on this soulful development in our extended cover story starting on page 19, led by an interview with Lima Airport CCO Norbert Onkelbach.
A key take-away from our deep dive into this development, as well as from the various stakeholders we’ve been speaking with in recent months, is the need to capitalise on momentum through smart strategies.
As the newly appointed Lagardère Travel Retail Peru, Miguel Ruiz, told us: “Sustaining consumer engagement goes beyond the initial excitement – it’s about staying fresh, flexible and close to the passenger.”
We’re also zooming in on food and confectionery (from page 69), with shopper insights, and comment-rich reports that shine a light on the latest developments, such as the rise of functional foods and snacks.
Plus, we’re bringing you a roundup of standout moments from the TR Consumer Forum in Amsterdam complete with a series of video clips that offer a glimpse of the action.

Also in this issue, we have compiled a preview of the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes (28 September to 2 October), with a glimpse of the vision from members of the Board and an insightful tête-à-tête between President Philippe Margueritte and our Editorial Director Luke Barras-Hill.
We also recap on the finalists of the consumer-voted 2025 Global Travel Retail Awards. Big congratulations to all those recognised – it has been highly rewarding seeing you showcasing your success on social media in recent weeks.
Tickets to the ceremony can be purchased until 23 September, subject to availability. Simply click the button below to secure your place in the room to join leading DF&TR stakeholders, including Fraport AG and Heathrow, in the room for an exhilarating evening celebrating the products and initiatives that consumers rate.
We also have a must-read lineup of bonus features to get stuck into, with news from Executive Retail Shops, The Macallan and Halewood Artisanal Spirits.
Finally, we invite you to spend a workday with Jasleen Babraha, Head of Travel and International for Emma Hardie Skincare. We hope you enjoy the issue!
