All finalists are entitled to begin using the exclusive ‘Voted by Shoppers’ logo.

UNRIVALLED JUDGING PROCESS

A six-week judging process involved first-round blogger and vlogger (video blogger) assessments, followed by detailed analysis carried out among partner m1nd-set’s unique database of international travellers.

Sixteen categories in total (12 product and four airport) were put in the spotlight.

[In addition, the Travel Retail Awards boasts a separate ‘Best Travel Exclusive’ product category award that honours the best travel exclusive product across all categories].

Each product entered into the awards received evaluations from travellers passing through an airport in the past six months.

Travellers also cast their views on their favourite airport shopping locations, mobile applications, social media offerings and much more.

Meanwhile, the carefully selected panel of bloggers and vloggers – all of which possess their own individual product and travel experience – provided expert thought and opinion on the categories in question.

M1nd-set’s research accounted for 70% of the total score, with blogger/vlogger feedback making up the remaining 30%.

A methodology used by m1nd-set has determined the finalists’ line-up according to a minimum scoring matrix in each category.

FEEDBACK GUARANTEEDBloggers

Fundamentally, entrants will be issued with concrete feedback on their respective submissions to fine tune and improve future commercial activities.

This feeds into TRBusiness and m1nd-set’s commitment to recognising novelty, ingenuity and the often trailblazing work undertaken by suppliers and airports in travel retail,

This feedback, together with the advertised ‘Voted by Shoppers’ logo, aims to set a new benchmark in travel retail innovation that not only recognises achievements within the industry, but also promotes those achievements to a wider B2C audience.
