TRBusiness, a major force in global travel retail B2B publishing and the proprietor of TRBusiness magazine/e-zine, TRBusiness.com, The Travel Retail Awards, The Travel Retail Consumer Forum and Travel Retail Sustainability Week, is on the hunt for a talented Business Editor to reflect the company’s next phase of growth.
The Business Editor will play a leading role in driving influential business coverage across TRBusiness’ market-leading digital, print and events portfolio. This is a full-time role.
The ideal candidate would be either a precocious talent with several years’ experience looking to step-up, or a seasoned professional seeking to advance their career.
Possessing a firm nose for news and an international outlook, they will be keen to make their mark in the fast-paced and evolving global duty free and travel retail industry.
They will demonstrate editorial skill and flair, imagination and tenacity, with a keen eye for detail and ability to quickly grasp complex issues and translate them into punchy and compelling content across multiple platforms that speaks to a variety of stakeholders – from global luxury brands and suppliers, to travel retailers, airport operators, trade associations and industry lobbyists.
What we expect:
-Provide editorial support across TRBusiness’ market-leading portfolio of digital/print magazines, websites and events, across all geographical territories and channels.
-Producing original and incisive content (news, interviews, features) that speaks to stakeholders across the value chain – from airport CEOs and retailers, to luxury brands and trade associations.
-A Batchelor’s degree or post-graduate qualification in journalism (NCTJ or equivalent).
-Working knowledge of CMS systems (preferably WordPress), Photoshop/Canva, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
-Comfortable networking with and interviewing individuals at all levels: from shop floor staff to C-level executives, to further deepen TRBusiness’ relationships and develop its presence as a source of trusted, independent and authoritative news and information.
-Act as an ambassador for the company in the UK and abroad.
