Spirits group Beam Suntory has named Jamey Martin its Chief DE&I Officer as it seeks to further accelerate its long-term diversity, equity and inclusion commitments.
Martin will be responsible for making impact across the company’s three-pronged DE&I strategy: Workplace, Workforce and Marketplace.
She will lead a DE&I team that works alongside talent acquisition, management, employee learning and development, and global employee impact groups.
Martin reports to Paula Erickson, Senior Vice President and Chief People, Culture & Communications Officer. She also has a “dotted line” to Greg Hughes, President and CEO.
She joins Beam Suntory following a 15-year career at Mondelēz International where she serves as Senior Director, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
At Mondelēz she was credited with leading DE&I-focused sponsorship, leadership development and training programmes across 91,000 team members.
Martin has also held various leadership roles in HR, providing guidance to commercial, finance, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
Prior to joining Mondelēz, she worked in HR positions at Wyeth Consumer Healthcare and Anheuser Busch.

Speaking at the recent TR Sustainability Week, Winnie Chng, Beam Suntory’s Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, APAC & International, said the business has “committed ambitious goals and investments to promote positive change”.
